Cake Classes Coming May 23rd!!!!

I know I suck at blogging and updating my website! I've been busy taking care of my brides :)

OK HERE'S THE NEWS!!!

I'll be hosting my first Cake decorating class at my shop on May 23, 2011!

Cake Display

Myia Primm with My Precious Sweets will be teaching a 3d cake called Tea Party Gone Wrong the cake will allow the student to get an introduction to cake structure using flanges, pvc pipes and we will be working with real cake, the student will also leave with a hardware starter kit. The price of the class will be $200.00 this will include supplies and lunch, now you will still have to bring a few things but not a lot. Go to Myia's website to sign up http://www.mypreciousweets.blogspot.com/

I've also been talking with Clara Gold with Clara's Designer Cakes (seen on TLC's Ultimate Cake Off and WETV wedding Cake Wars) She wants to come down and teach us something fun!

Martha and Becky with Sweet Southern Ladies (Winners of TLC's Unltimate Cake Off) They are ready to teach some new designs.

I get asked a lot about teaching but I'm not that friendly when I'm in cake mode, but I am going to Tifton GA to teach the Pillow Cake design (I know its old but only in Atlanta!)

Here's the deal! You tell me what you want to learn and I will try to make that happen!

COME ON ATLANTA TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT TO LEARN!!!!

Sweet Southern Ladies and ME!

Class with Sweet Southern Ladies
I had the pleasure to drive up to KY and spend a few days with some wonderful cake decorators from all over the United States. We all signed up to take a class with Martha and Becky of Sweet Southern Ladies out of LA . We wanted to bring something new and fresh to our areas with the cake you see above with me and the girls. It was a challenge but fun making the cake. When it was over I had to stand back and say "WOW did I do that?" I was so proud of myself! I call her Pearlene after my dear sweet mother in law. I have to recreate the cake Sunday Nov. 1st for one of my brides so I'll let you know how it comes out!
